Wireless Call Bell System — FAQs.
What is the difference between a call bell system and a nurse calling system?+
A call bell system is a simple, plug-and-play wireless calling solution — remotes send a call and a 9-zone LED receiver panel shows which unit called, with a buzzer alert. A full nurse calling system adds ward-grade infrastructure: nurse-station consoles, toilet pull-cords, door indicators, Code Blue mode, dashboards and reporting. For small hospitals, clinics and nursing homes that just need reliable bed-to-staff calling, the call bell system does the job at a fraction of the complexity and cost; larger or NABH-accredited facilities should choose the Nurse Calling System.
How difficult is the installation? Do we need wiring?+
No wiring at all — it is a true plug-and-play system. Power the receiver panel from a standard socket (5V DC adapter), place or wall-mount the battery-operated remotes where you need them, and the system is working in minutes. No conduits, no cabling, no configuration and no IT involvement.
What happens if the power fails while a call is active?+
The receiver panel has built-in non-volatile memory that stores the last active call. When power returns, the panel automatically restores the previous call status — so no active call is ever missed because of a power interruption.
How do the three buttons on the remote work?+
The green C button sends a normal call request, the middle button sends an emergency call for urgent assistance, and the red X button resets or clears the active call from the remote. Calls can also be cleared using the dedicated reset switch on the receiver panel.
Can it be used in old-age homes and assisted-living facilities?+
Yes — it is well suited to senior care. Residents carry or keep the numbered remote within reach and can call a caretaker from anywhere in the building; the receiver panel at the caretaker station shows exactly which resident called. For larger senior-living facilities that need battery-level monitoring, pendants and centralised dashboards, see our Old-Age / Senior Living Calling System.
