Old-Age / Elder Care Calling System (Senior Living)

The same engineered nurse-call platform — packaged for old-age homes, assisted living and senior apartments. Adds a battery-operated handheld calling unit with real-time battery-level monitoring at the warden / nurse station. Deployed at Kshemavana Naturopathy & Wellness Center and Siddaganga Hospital, Tumkur.

About this product

Our Old-Age / Senior Living Calling System — also called an elder care calling system or elderly call system — runs on the exact same engineered platform as our flagship Nurse Calling System — same long-range RF with signal hopping, same nurse-station displays, same centralised dashboards. We package it specifically for old-age homes, assisted-living facilities and senior apartments where residents need fast, anywhere-in-the-building access to caretakers. The key addition for senior-living is a battery-operated handheld calling unit that the resident carries (pocket, lanyard or around the neck) and can press from anywhere — no wiring, no UPS dependency. Each handheld unit's battery level is monitored in real time at the warden / nurse station, so a low-battery handset gets flagged and recharged before it goes dark. This handheld switch was originally engineered for Siddaganga Hospital, Tumkur (a site without UPS infrastructure on the calling line), and is now installed at Kshemavana Naturopathy & Wellness Center and across senior-living facilities. Senior living centres can also install any model of our Signavanc series of nurse calling systems (Signavanc LR, Air, IP, Ultra and Lite) — it works and functions in exactly the same way in an elder care setting, so you choose the model that suits the building and budget, as a hospital would.

Frequently asked

Old-age / elder care calling system — FAQs.

What is an old-age home or elder care calling system?+

Also called an elder care system or elderly call system, it is a wireless calling system that lets residents of old-age homes, assisted living and senior apartments call a caretaker from anywhere in the building. It runs on the same platform as our nurse calling system.

Can a senior living centre use the Signavanc nurse calling system?+

Yes. Senior living centres and old-age homes can install any model of our Signavanc series of nurse calling systems — Signavanc LR, Air, IP, Ultra or Lite. It works and functions the same way in an elder care setting as in a hospital: residents call from the bed, washroom or a handheld button, and caretakers are alerted at the station and on their phones. Choose the model that suits the building and budget.

Can residents call for help away from their bed?+

Yes. Each resident carries a battery-operated handheld call button in a pocket, on a lanyard or as a pendant, and there are also bedside call points and waterproof washroom pull cords.

How do you know a handheld unit's battery is low?+

Battery levels of every handheld unit are monitored in real time at the warden or nurse station, and low-battery alerts are raised before a unit stops working. Typical battery life is 6+ months.

How are caretakers alerted?+

A warden console with audible and visual alerts, plus mobile push notifications to caretakers.

Does it work in multi-floor or multi-building residences?+

Yes. Long-range RF covers multi-floor and multi-building residences — up to 200 m on the long-range variant.

Where is it installed?+

The handheld unit was originally built for Siddaganga Hospital, Tumkur, and the system is installed at Kshemavana Naturopathy & Wellness Center and senior-living facilities.
