Infra DigiTech Launches Two Free Sizing Calculators for Hospitals and Banks

Bengaluru, India — 9 October 2026

Infra DigiTech Pvt Ltd, the Bengaluru manufacturer of nurse calling and queue management systems, today launched two free online calculators that let hospitals, banks and service centres size a system before they ask anyone for a quotation. The Nurse Call Sizing Calculator and the Queue Wait Time Calculator are live at infra-digitech.com/tools, require no sign-up, and show the working behind every figure they produce.

The tools address a problem the company sees in most enquiries it receives: buyers specify the wrong system, and discover it after installation. A hospital chooses a model without reporting and is then asked by an NABH assessor for response-time records it cannot produce. A bank branch buys an LED display with fewer lines than it has counters and watches the board cycle. A branch manager knows the queue is too long but cannot say whether one more counter would fix it. Each calculator is built to catch exactly those mistakes while the decision can still be changed.

Nurse Call Sizing Calculator

With the Nurse Call Sizing Calculator, a hospital enters its beds, wards, building status, whether structured cabling is already in place, and what the ward needs — response-time records for NABH or JCI, mobile alerts, or the lowest cost per bed. The calculator applies the published limits of the five Signavanc models, rules out any model that cannot meet a requirement and states the reason in one sentence, recommends the best fit, counts the nurse stations needed, and produces an indicative bill of materials — bedside units, pull-cords, door indicators, consoles, hubs and servers. It also estimates Turn Over Time, the average time from a patient’s call to a nurse at the bedside, using a queueing model with adjustable staffing assumptions.

The most used line on the page, the company expects, will be the one that stops a common specification error: a hospital that asks for NABH response records sees the entry-level model removed with the explanation that it has no reporting module and does not calculate Turn Over Time.

Queue Wait Time Calculator

A bank branch, OPD or service centre enters its daily footfall or peak-hour arrivals, the minutes a customer spends at the counter, and the counters open. The Queue Wait Time Calculator returns the average wait in the peak hour, how many people are in the queue at any moment and how hard the counters are working, then shows a counter-by-counter table of what each additional counter would do to the wait and marks the smallest count that meets a target. Behind that it recommends the queue management system that fits — LED wired, LED wireless or LCD — lists every model ruled out and why, and produces a bill of materials.

The waiting-time model is the standard M/M/c queue solved with the Erlang C formula — the same method telephone exchanges and call centres are dimensioned with — and the formula, the peak-hour assumption and the limitations are written out on the page so a consultant or procurement team can check any result by hand.

Our sales engineers were spending the first ten minutes of every call correcting a specification. We decided to give that ten minutes away. If a hospital can see for itself why the cheapest model will fail its NABH audit, or a branch manager can take a table to the regional head showing what a seventh counter does, everyone starts the conversation in the right place — including when the right answer is our simplest product.

Nothing gated, everything shown

  • Results update live as the user types; there is no submit button and no email wall on the numbers.
  • Every input is encoded in the page address, so a result can be copied, shared or pasted into a procurement note and reopened exactly as it was.
  • Each ruled-out model is listed with the sentence that removed it, so a buyer learns which requirement to change or which model to drop.
  • An optional emailed report carries the recommendation, the ruled-out list, the bill of materials and the assumptions, and can be saved as a PDF.
  • The model limits are the ones published on each product page, the mathematics is written out, and the limitations are stated — what a calculator cannot see, and what a site survey or real token data will replace.

Both tools are built from the rules Infra DigiTech’s engineers apply before quoting, drawn from more than 5,500 installations across India since 2001, including India’s first retail-banking queue management system at State Bank of India in 2004. They size the company’s own Signavanc nurse call range and its three queue management models; for buyers comparing other suppliers, the station and counter counts and the bill of materials serve as a checklist for any quotation.

Availability

Both calculators are available now, free, at infra-digitech.com/tools, on desktop and mobile. No account is required. Hospitals and banks that want an engineer to confirm a result can send the link to the company’s sales line and receive a site-survey date.
