What is an outdoor GPS clock?+
A digital clock built for the outside of a building or an open space: high-brightness P10 LED modules that stay readable in direct sunlight, a waterproof powder-coated cabinet, and time taken from GPS satellites so it is always correct and never set by hand. Ours add an internal real-time clock as backup and, optionally, a built-in temperature and humidity sensor and a date-and-day line.
How is it different from your indoor GPS clocks?+
The indoor range uses seven-segment LED digits in IP20 to IP65 cabinets, which is the crispest display for a shop floor, an office or a labour room but washes out in sunlight. The outdoor clock uses P10 dot-matrix LED modules in a sealed outdoor cabinet. Both take the same GPS time, so an indoor clock in the time office and an outdoor clock at the gate read the same second.
Is it readable in direct sunlight?+
Yes. P10 modules are the same outdoor LED technology used on scoreboards and highway signs, chosen for exactly that. The face holds its contrast with the afternoon sun on it and is not blinding at night.
Is it waterproof?+
Yes. The MS powder-coated cabinet is sealed against rain and dust with treated cable entries, built for monsoon, heat and coastal air. Tell us the position — under an awning, fully exposed, on a pole in a yard — and we specify the mount and the cabling accordingly.
What happens if the GPS signal is lost or the power fails?+
The clock keeps time on its internal real-time clock. When the satellite fix returns it re-synchronises automatically; after a power cut it comes back showing the correct time. There is nothing to reset.
Can it show temperature and humidity?+
Yes. A temperature and humidity sensor can be built into the clock, and the readings show live on the face — typically on the second line beneath the time, as T: 27.7 °C and RH: 65 %. It suits loading docks, sports grounds, plant entrances and anywhere the conditions outside matter to the people working in them.
Can it show the date and day?+
Yes. The three-line layout shows the time, temperature and humidity, and the date with the day of the week (05-09-2026 FRI). Date format and the day's language are set to order, and lines can be reordered or replaced with a site message.
How many sides can it have?+
One, two, three or four. A wall clock is usually single- or double-sided; a clock on a hanging mount in the middle of a yard, a concourse or a ground is built three- or four-sided so it reads from every direction.
What sizes are available?+
The face is built to the reading distance from standard P10 modules, so any width, height and digit size is possible — a compact gate clock or a stadium-scale board. The digit-height-to-distance table on our GPS clock hub page is the starting point; tell us the farthest point the clock must be read from.
Does it need internet, a network or a PC?+
No. Time comes from GPS satellites and the clock runs on its own. It never joins your network and needs no PC, no software and no subscription. For a site that also wants indoor clocks synchronised from one master, see the master–slave clock system.
What does an outdoor digital clock cost in India?+
It depends on the face size, the number of sides, and whether the temperature-humidity sensor and date line are included — a single-sided gate clock and a four-sided hanging stadium clock are very different builds. Send the position, the reading distance and what the face should show, and we return a quotation within one business day. Available on GeM for government and PSU buyers.
