Bengaluru, India — 29 October 2026
Infra DigiTech Pvt Ltd, the Bengaluru manufacturer of nurse calling, queue management and digital display systems, today added an LED Countdown Timer Display to its range: a large red LED board that makes a deadline visible to everyone on a shop floor, in a hall or across a sports ground, and is set from an ordinary phone in under a minute.
The board counts down in Days : Hours : Minutes : Seconds — up to 9,999 days — ticking once per second on P10 LED modules in an MS powder-coated cabinet. A second layout keeps the live time on the top line and a 'DAYS LEFT' message beneath it, the board a plant entrance or a lobby runs for weeks before an audit, an inauguration or a product launch. A third, compact model counts a plain number down to zero — 25, 24, 23 — for training drills, exam sections and process steps where a single figure is clearer than a clock.
Set from a phone, on the timer's own Wi-Fi
What distinguishes the product from the countdown clocks commonly sold for events is how it is controlled. The timer broadcasts its own Wi-Fi network and serves a control page from the board itself. A user joins the network on a phone or tablet, opens a fixed address in the browser, enters the duration and presses SET TIMER, then START. STOP pauses the countdown with the remaining time still on the display; START resumes from where it stopped; RESET returns the board to the duration last set. There is no app to install, no account, no internet connection and no PC, and the board never joins the customer's own network — a point that matters to IT departments in pharmaceutical plants and banks.
Timekeeping runs on an internal real-time clock, so once a countdown is started the phone can be disconnected and the board keeps counting. Two or more timers can run side by side, each broadcasting its own network name, for sites such as sports complexes and examination centres with several halls.
Built for ten industries, customised for each
The company designed the timer as a general-purpose board rather than a single-industry product. On a manufacturing line it counts down a changeover, a batch cycle or a project deadline. In a pharmaceutical plant it times a process step or a sterilisation cycle where the count must be visible for validation. In hospitals it runs procedure and drill countdowns — the company's separate OT Timer continues to serve operating theatres with their Total, Anesthesia, Surgery and Tourniquet modes. In sports it is a match, quarter or drill clock; in exam halls a section timer every candidate can read from the back row; at construction sites a milestone board at the gate; in offices, PSUs and showrooms an audit, go-live or sale countdown.
Because Infra DigiTech designs the firmware and builds the cabinet in its own factory, the three standard layouts are a starting point. The labels, wording, digit size, colour, number of lines and behaviour — a buzzer at zero, count-up as well as countdown for 'days since' safety boards, two timers on one display — are specified by the customer, and boards are built to any size from the same P10 modules.
A deadline in an email is an abstraction. A deadline on a wall, in red, counting, is a fact the whole floor shares. We built the timer so that a supervisor can put that fact up in a morning with nothing more than the phone in his pocket — and so that it says exactly what his site needs it to say, not what a catalogue decided.
