Sales Manager (B2B)
You own a number, a small team and a partner network, and you report to the founders — there is no layer between you and the people who decide. The team today is two Sales Executives and an Inside Sales function feeding you qualified enquiries; growing that team is part of the job rather than something that happens to you. Roughly half your time goes on your own key accounts and large tenders, because a manager here still sells; the other half goes on the pipeline, the partners and the people. Two things make this different from a distributor sales role: we manufacture what we sell, so you can commit to a configuration nobody else will quote, and we are a 25-year-old business that is still small enough for one good manager to change the shape of a region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Own and achieve regional revenue targets for QMS and Nurse Call Systems.
- Build and execute the territory sales plan across hospitals, clinics, banks, retail, government offices, and commercial establishments.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and reporting for management review.
- Identify new market segments and growth opportunities for the OEM product portfolio.
Team & Channel Management
- Lead, mentor, and support Sales Executives to meet individual and team targets.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop the regional sales team as the territory grows.
- Appoint and manage system integrators, dealers, consultants, and channel partners.
What Success Looks Like
- Month 3: you know the product range well enough to run a hospital or bank meeting alone, and the pipeline is in a state you personally trust.
- Month 6: two or three new channel partners appointed and producing, and your executives hitting their individual targets.
- Month 12: the regional number met, a larger team than you started with, and at least one reference account big enough to open the next ten doors.
Key Accounts & Pre-Sales
- Manage key accounts and high-value tenders from qualification through closure.
- Oversee site surveys and recommend suitable system configurations for large deployments.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and product teams for customized solutions and timely delivery.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events, and customer demonstrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- MBA in Sales / Marketing preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience in electronic systems or solution selling.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a territory.
- Team-handling / people-management experience preferred.
- Experience in Queue Management Systems, Nurse Call Systems or similar OEM products is a strong plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and results-driven.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Must be good in both verbal & written English.
What We Offer
- Monthly salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000 plus performance incentives on regional revenue, not just your own deals.
- You report to the founders directly — decisions on pricing, partners and hiring happen in a conversation, not a committee.
- Real authority over your territory: which partners to appoint, which segments to chase, who joins the team.
- Travel and field expenses reimbursed.
- Health insurance, and Provident Fund with the employer contribution matched to yours.
- A manufacturer behind you — engineering, firmware and fabrication are in the same building, so a custom requirement is a design discussion rather than a refusal.
